The primary goal of the New York City HIV Prevention Planning Group (“NYC PPG”) is to eliminate HIV infections and disease in New York City. To this end the NYC PPG, in a joint effort of community and governmental representatives, will develop a comprehensive HIV prevention plan. The plan will integrate multiple HIV community needs and the prioritization of HIV prevention interventions and strategies for prioritized populations at high risk of HIV infection. The NYC PPG will also foster the integration of the HIV prevention community planning process into other relevant planning and policy efforts.
