ZAMORA FELLOWSHIPIn the spirit of Pedro Zamora’s work to curb HIV transmission and improve the lives of HIV positive people, AIDS Action offers a public policy fellowship in his name. The Pedro Zamora Public Policy Fellowship is an excellent opportunity for young professionals, undergraduate and graduate students who seek experience in HIV related public policy and government affairs. Duties
Fellows must also commit to working a minimum of 30 hours a week over an eight week period. The maximum duration of a fellowship is 26 weeks. Qualifications Graduate and undergraduate students and young professionals are welcome to apply. Candidates need strong research, writing, and organizational skills and a willingness to work in a professional office. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is critical. Familiarity with HIV-related issues and the legislative processes is preferred. Fellows must commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week for 8 weeks. People of color, women, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals, and HIV positive individuals are encouraged to apply. Applications are accepted for the fall, spring, and summer terms.
