AIDS
Action’s State Fact Sheets are a unique informational tool. The
data they contain are provided to enable constituents, government
affairs and policy professionals, and lawmakers to see how each
U.S. state and territory* is being affected by the epidemic and
how the federal government is responding. There is also a State
Fact Sheet for the United States which gives you the national
picture. Compiled by our government affairs staff, the State Fact
Sheets contain both quantitative and qualitative information and
cover the following areas: HIV and AIDS caseload numbers, the
demographics of people living with HIV, the federal funding provided
for HIV programs and services, surveillance and reporting practices,
and government leadership.
* Due to certain state or jurisdiction-level data not being available, 2005 epidemiological data is still being updated for the following states: Arizona, Delaware and Maryland.
