AIDS Action is pleased to introduce you to two of our electronic advocacy resources: the our Action Alert Network and Legislative Action Center.

Join our Action Alert Network. It’s quick. It’s easy. And it’s free.
As part of our Network, you will receive Action Alerts, which are used by AIDS Action Council to educate, motivate, and move our Network into action on behalf of those living with and affected by HIV. Using the efficiency and speed of e-mail, Action Alerts provide information to network members at critical points in the legislative process when their actions have impact.

Your elected officials have a responsibility to listen to you, their constituents. The Action Alerts explain how network members can effect positive change in federal HIV policy and legislation, primarily by contacting their Members of Congress to share their views about specific legislative issues.

Recent Action Alerts have encouraged constituents to ask their elected officials to support:

    • Increased funding for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program;
    • Recommendations to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention;
    • Increased funding for global AIDS appropriations;
    • Increased support for the NIH research process;
    • Co-sponsorship of the Early Treatment for HIV Act (ETHA)
